Locati LLC, located in Pineville, Bucks County, PA held its October auction on the 15th at noon. Featuring nearly 500 lots from Philadelphia, Bucks County, Manhattan, and New Jersey estates and collections. Co-Owner Michael Locati said, "We had strong participation in this auction, both domestically and internationally". Decorative arts did particularly well, the leading lot was a Navajo Third Phase Chief’s Blanket which brought $3,200. Some other notable lots include a group of Royal Copenhagen Flora Danica Tableware with a hammer price of $2,300. In addition, a Coventry Glassworks Lafayette Flask sold above the estimate of $1,000-1,500 for $2,200, a Jacques & Mary Regat bronze brought $2,600. And a Nicola D'Ascenzo stained glass window of St John had a final bid of $2,400.
Prior to the auction, portrait miniature expert Elle Shushan gave a lecture relating to a collection of over 100 portrait miniatures. Locati said, "Elle Shushan's lecture was the first educational event in our Bucks County location, and it was a great success". The portrait miniature highlights included a portrait of Edmund J. Lee had a hammer of $2,600, a portrait miniature of a young boy with a goldfinch sold for $1,000, and a portrait miniature of a young boy, 19th century brought $1,600. Locati said, "This was a wonderful sale to put together".
